The Red Carpet Outfits, Dresses & Fashion At Awards Shows
On May 6, New York hosted the annual Charity Ball of the Costume Institute Met Gala – 2019, which was dedicated to the aesthetics of the camp. Following a high-profile social event, an exhibition called Camp: Notes on Fashion will open(red carpet outfits) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Traditionally, the hostess of the evening was the editor-in-chief of American Vogue Anna Wintour. The co-chairs of the Met Gala – 2019 were musician Harry Styles, singer Lady Gaga, tennis player Serena Williams, creative director of Gucci Alessandro Michele.
The aesthetics of the camp are characterized by irony and love for bad taste – when “so bad, that even good”.
So, Jared Leto came with a copy of his head in his hands – an outfit and a head from Gucci, Katy Perry put on a glowing dress-chandelier Moschino, Billy Porter turned into an ancient Egyptian king, who was brought into the hall of the Institute of Costume on a palanquin, and Lady Gaga arranged a show with dressing up right on the pink carpet, changing four Brandon Maxwell outfits in 10 minutes.
She repeated the image of Disney’s Cinderella and appeared at the ball with stylist Lowe Roach as a fairy who made the dress glow by waving a magic wand.
